Northstar has been awarded a substantial contract for the supply of synthetic sheet pile.
Under the contract, Northstar will supply all materials for the Project over the next ten month period.
"Material shipments to the client have begun and we are very excited about the future opportunities that await us", says Northstar President, Jeff Moreau. "Our unique ability to develop and engineer this solution for the client is what made the difference."
"Northstar presented the client with a variety of possible solutions for the shoreline protection system and the client chose a proprietary Northstar solution that is 100% synthetic. There are no parts that rust or otherwise deteoriate in this System. Not only will this system provide decades of maintenance free service in a harsh marine environment, the solution also saved the client tens of millions of dollars over it's next alternative", said Mitch Wood, Northstar's V. P. of Sales.
At the request of the client, the project, it's location, and the parties involved are still being held in confidence, but a formal announcement could happen soon.
In anticpation of this Project, Northstar recently expanded its supply lines and have made the preparations that are necessary to supply the Project while still maintaining an ability to respond to domestic demand.
